1st Sgt. Jeremy Wiggs of Rockton, Illinois, drills Soldiers in preparation for the Illinois Army National Guard's 1st Battalion, 178 Infantry Regiment Change of Command Ceremony on Sunday, May 12, 2019, the the Illinois Army National Guard's Marseilles Training Area in Marseilles, Illinois. Lt. Col. Milton Ware relinquished command of the battalion to Lt. Col. Matt Garrison during the ceremony. About 400 Soldiers of the Chicago-based 1-178th Infantry Battalion is scheduled to deploy to Afghanistan later this summer. Wiggs is the first sergeant of the battalion's Charlie Company.
