Jeffrey Kim, Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka, participates in a wreath laying ceremony at Gyokusenji Temple in remembrance of U.S. service members whose remains rest at the temple as part of the 80th Shimoda Black Ship Festival. The Navy’s participation in the festival celebrates the heritage of U.S.-Japanese naval partnership first established by Commodore Matthew Perry’s 1853 port visit.
