Jeffrey Kim, Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka, participates in a sake barrel ceremony with Yusuke Fukui, mayor of Shimoda, Japan, and other key host city officials as part of the 80th Shimoda Black Ship Festival. The Navy’s participation in the festival celebrates the heritage of U.S.-Japanese naval partnership first established by Commodore Matthew Perry’s 1853 port visit.
