JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (May 9, 2019) – Cmdr. Jonathan McDivitt, a cardiologist at Naval Hospital Jacksonville, listens to a patient’s heart. McDivitt, a native of Albuquerque, New Mexico, recently returned from a nine-month deployment to NATO Role 3 Multinational Medical Unit in Kandahar, Afghanistan, where he served as the Director of Medical Services. “From hospital corpsmen to nurses to medical service corps officers and physicians, we all came together as a team to deliver expert care, with a 100% survival rate for anyone who reached our doors. I'm proud of the corpsmen, several of whom were also from Naval Hospital Jacksonville, who were critical to the mission.” (U.S. Navy photo by Jacob Sippel, Naval Hospital Jacksonville/Released).
