JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (May 10, 2019) – Ensign Ethan Berg, a nurse at Naval Hospital Jacksonville, salutes during morning colors. Berg, a native of Livermore, California, says, “I chose Navy Medicine in order to serve with our country's best healthcare professionals. My father served 22 years in the Navy as a submariner and retired as a senior chief. His service inspires me every day to give my best as a Navy nurse. One of my greatest joys as a Navy officer is wearing the same uniform that my father wore, and saluting our national ensign just like he did.” (U.S. Navy photo by Jacob Sippel, Naval Hospital Jacksonville/Released).
