U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Keith Silva, a motor transportation operator with Combat Logistics Battalion 1 and 21-year-old native of Sarasota, Fla., attempts to take down Lance Cpl. Brett P. Schwindt, a motor transportation operator with CLB-1 and 20-year-old native of Mandan, N.D., during a ground-fighting tournament here, March 10. The tournament included four weight classes: 164 pounds and below, 165-179 pounds, 180-199 pounds and 200 pounds and above. The tournament was one of several sporting events held by CLB-1 to boost morale and encourage friendly competition between its companies during their seven-month deployment to southern Helmand province. Silva took 1st place in the 180-199-pound weigh class.
