Former first lady Rosalynn Carter examines a Marine's rocket launcher during a tour of the amphibious assault ship USS Peleliu (LHA 5). She joined former President Jimmy Carter and his foundation's nearly 250 guests and flag officers, hosted by Vice Adm. Gerald Beaman, commander of U.S. 3rd Fleet, spent the day visiting with sailors and Marines, seeing various areas of the ship and aircraft.
