Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 101 Grim Reapers deactivated today after more than seven years of service as the F-35C Lightning II Fleet Replacement Squadron (FRS). The Grim Reapers of VFA-101 played an integral role in jump-starting the U.S. Navy’s F-35C program when the program first arrived at Eglin Air Force Base in 2012.
