Through the use of a night vision device, a member of 7th Special Forces Group stands behind his Guyana Defense Force counterpart during a training event as part of Exercise Fused Response 2012, March 8, in the town of Maukuria, outside of Georgetown. Exercise Fused Response 2012 is a joint Guyana-U.S. military exchange. The partner nations continue to work together in order to improve the interoperability between both nations. As the special operations component of the U.S. Southern Command, SOCSOUTH works with Special Operations Forces across the Caribbean, Central and South America in order to build military capacity and capabilities.
