A member of a U.S. Army helicopter crew observes the horizon as they prepare to land on a helipad at Camp Stephenson, Guyana, 25 miles outside of Georgetown, March 8, during a training event in support of Exercise Fused Response 2012. Fused Response is an annual SOUTHCOM-sponsored multi-lateral exercise involving a combined contingent of U.S. and partner-nation forces. Exercise Fused Response allowed the Guyana Defense Force and members of the U.S. military strengthen their already strong military relationship. Special Operations Command South served as the lead U.S. executing agent working hand in hand with their GDF partners during the 10-day exercise.
