2nd Lt. Britt Fitts, mission radio operator, and 1st Lt. Danny Green, communication unit leader, both with the Civil Air Patrol, use radios to communicate with pilots preparing to conduct missions in support of the exercise Ardent Sentry May 30, 2019 at Camp McCain, Mississippi. Ardent Sentry is a North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command exercise focused on defense support of civil authorities during a simulated New Madrid Seismic Zone earthquake. Civil Air Patrol is the official auxiliary of the Air Force whose missions include search and rescue, aerial reconnaissance, damage assessments, and counterdrug surveillance.
