Staff Sgt. Justin Diggins checks the gust dampener on a C-17 Globemaster III prior to routine maintenance at the Home Station Check hangar at Joint Base Charleston - Air Base hangar, Feb. 21. The gust dampener is responsible for stabilizing the pressure if there is a sudden change in wind gust. Diggins is a 437th Maintenance Squadron aircraft hydraulics journeyman, 437th Airlift Wing.
