U.S. Marine Sgt. Victor Crespo, an infantry squad leader with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, takes count of his Marines during a landing craft, utility boarding practice in the well deck of the Whidbey Island-class amphibious dock landing ship USS Fort McHenry (LSD-43). The Marines are preparing for upcoming training during Baltic Operations. BALTOPS is an annual joint, multinational maritime-focused exercised. It is designed to improve training for participants, enhance flexibility and interoperability, and demonstrate resolve among allied and partner forces in defending the Baltic Sea region.
