Sailors perform the physical screening test for the Hospital Corpsman Advanced Technical Field school on June 12, 2019 at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston, Texas. The Hospital Corpsman class "A school” is approximately 14 weeks in duration, the program requires a six-year enlistment obligation. After completion of “A School”, HM-ATF candidates track to one of the three advanced training paths: Search and Rescue Medical Technician (27 weeks long), Fleet Marine Force, Reconnaissance Independent Duty Corpsman (121 weeks long), or Medical Deep Sea Diving Technician (27 weeks long).
