Iraqi Security Forces handle improvised disruption charges they built during an Explosive Ordnance Disposal class at Al Taqaddum, Iraq, May 2, 2019. Disruption charges are designed to explode near an improvised explosive device (IED) in order to disrupt the electrical circuits without it exploding. Coalition training programs include courses in areas as diverse as operational planning, counter-terrorism, logistics and sustainment, equipment maintenance, counter IED techniques and law enforcement.
