The face of William Eldridge, a former machine gunner with the U.S. Army 31st Infantry Regiment and survivor of the Bataan Death March here, March 24. Eldridge endured marching nearly 80 miles subject to conditions of extreme brutality under the Japanese, who held him along with 76,000 other allied forces members as prisoners of war during World War II.
