Paul Scarlett, infantryman, Honor Guard Company, on his performance through a traffic control point lane during The Old Guard’s Expert Infantryman Badge course, March 21, at Fort A.P. Hill, Va. Candidates were timed and graded through specific tasks to include land navigation, shooting expert with a rifle, managing a traffic control point, and an urban lane that simulated movements through a small village.
