Approximately 100 homes in Abilene, Texas, sustained damage after the city was struck by a tornado May 18, 2019. Airmen from the 317th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron went to the house of Staff Sgt. Francois Meyer, 75th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron navigator and deployed from the 317th AMXS, after it was hit by a tornado to help pack his belongings and place them in storage while he is deployed. They also took pictures for insurance purposes and made sure everything was accounted for. Once the Airmen finished taking care of Meyer’s house and belongings, they moved on to help other people in the surrounding area who were also affected by the tornado. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech.
