ARABIAN GULF (May 28, 2019) Boatswain's Mate 2nd Class John Monroe signals in an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter from the "Chargers" of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 26 on the flight deck of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Gonzalez (DDG 66) during flight operations, May 28, 2019. Gonzalez is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
