Soldiers of the 602nd Ordnance Company exit their "freedom bird" at Robert Gray Army Airfield, Fort Hood, Texas, March 27. The company deployed in July of 2011, and half of them returned in December of 2011. The unit's mission during the deployment was two-fold: they provided gun truck support for convoy security as well as carried out sustainment level maintenance across Regional Command-West, Afghanistan.
