190628-N-BV658-1018 MANTA, Ecuador (June 28, 2019) Aviation Structural Mechanic 3rd Class Riley John, from Portland, Oregon, assigned to the “Dragon Whales” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 28, deployed aboard the hospital ship USNS Comfort (T-AH 20), conducts eye exams at a temporary medical treatment site. Comfort is working with health and government partners in Central America, South America, and the Caribbean to provide care on the ship and at land-based medical sites, helping to relieve pressure on national medical systems strained by an increase in Venezuelan migrants.
