USNS Comfort provides care at a temporary medical treatment site

190628-N-IA905-1103 MANTA, Ecuador (June 28, 2019) Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Ashton Kang, from Imlay City, Mich., and Staff Sgt. Chasidy Tenison, from Dallas, Texas, both assigned to the hospital ship USNS Comfort (T-AH 20), educate a patient at a temporary medical treatment site about the rabies virus. Comfort is working with health and government partners in Central America, South America, and the Caribbean to provide care on the ship and at land-based medical sites, helping to relieve pressure on national medical systems strained by an increase in Venezuelan migrants.
