ILLISKY TRAINING AREA, Kazakhstan (June 27, 2019) – A Kazakhstani Ground Forces’ UH-1 Iroquois helicopter prepares to land at Chilikemer Training Area, near Almaty, Kazakhstan, June 27, 2019, to medically evacuate a simulated casualty during training at Exercise Steppe Eagle 19. Kazakhstan, the United States, the United Kingdom, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan sent participants to the 10-day exercise, and India, Turkey and Uzbekistan sent observers.
