190703-N-IA905-1050 MANTA, Ecuador (July 3, 2019) Naval Aircrewman (Helicopter) 2nd Class Brandon Palmer, from Goldsboro, N.C., and Naval Aircrewman (Helicopter) 2nd Class Robert McCann, from New Freedom, Penn., both assigned to the hospital ship USNS Comfort (T-AH 20), prepare to hoist a simulated patient during a medical evacuation drill. Comfort is working with health and government partners in Central America, South America, and the Caribbean to provide care on the ship and at land-based medical sites, helping to relieve pressure on national medical systems strained by an increase in Venezuelan migrants.
