Brig. Gen. Kenneth E. Brandt, senior Army National Guard chaplain and United States Army Deputy Chief of Chaplains for the Army National Guard, came to Jordan to present Zarnke with the medal which is only awarded to one Army chaplain each year for collegial selfless behavior while rendering religious support to the military community regardless of faith or race.
