Medal of Honor recipient, retired U.S. Army Col. Bruce Crandall (left), signs copies of the book “We Were Soldiers Once and Young” during his visit to Combined Joint Task Force-1 Headquarters March 31. Crandall received the medal for actions in the Vietnam War while serving with the 1st Cavalry Division.
