U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Jeffrey S. Buchanan, outgoing U.S. Army North commander, passes the Army North (Fifth Army) colors to U.S. Air Force Gen. Terrence J. Gen Richardson. Buchanan assumed command of U.S. Army North Aug. 26, 2016 and is retiring after a 37-year career. Richardson most recently served at U.S. Army Forces Command at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, where she was the deputy commanding general.
