Petty Officer 2nd Class Alfonso Anglada, U.S. Navy interpreter, takes muster of the Dominican students before a seamanship class starts on board High Speed Vessel 2 Swift in Santa Domingo, Dominican Republic, June 27. Task Group 40.9 is deployed as part of the pilot Global Fleet Station to the Caribbean basin and Central America. The mission is designed to validate the GFS concept for the Navy and support U.S. Southern Command objectives for its area of responsibility by enhancing cooperative partnerships with regional maritime services and improving operational readiness for the participating partner nations.
