U.S. Coast Guard Operations Specialist Chief Isabelo Chio reviews satellite coordinates after receiving a possible distress call from an Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon onboard a vessel off the coast of the Hawaiian island Oahu April 12, 2012, from the 14th Coast Guard District Joint Rescue Coordination Center. The JRCC is responsible for coordinating rescue efforts for 14.2 million square miles of open ocean, atolls, and island nations.
