Tracey Nicholson, sergeant major of Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMH) 361, Marine Aircraft Group (MAG) 16, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW), briefs the importance of communication to U.S. Marines and Sailors from HMH-361 during a deployment for training (DFT) at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., June 18, 2019. The mission of the DFT was to rehearse expeditionary operations at unfamiliar airfields and expeditionary air base emplacement consistent with the expeditionary advanced base operations (EABO) concept, which calls for employing mobile, low-signature and operationally relevant expeditionary forces across wide range of austere environments.
