U.S. Marines with Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 371, Marine Wing Support Group (MWSG) 37, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW), prepare to board a CH-53E Super Stallion during a deployment for training (DFT) at Grant County International Airport, Wash., June 25, 2019. The Marines rehearsed loading and offloading personnel and equipment in support of expeditionary air base operations (EABO). The mission of the DFT was to rehearse expeditionary operations at unfamiliar airfields and expeditionary air base emplacement consistent with the EABO concept, which calls for employing mobile, low-signature and operationally relevant expeditionary forces across a wide range of austere environments.
