    Chief Damage Controlman Jason Lobb, littoral combat ship USS Independence (LCS 2) Blue Crew Damage Control Assistant, explains how use the portable electronic access and rescue system (PEARS), commonly known as the "Jaws of Life," during all hands damage control training in the mission bay aboard the ship. Independence's Gold Crew and embarked MCM are underway for the ship's maiden voyage to San Diego after successfully completing testing on the MCM mission package.
