SINGAPORE—Petty Officer 3rd Class Nicholas Basso, a damage controlman assigned to U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Bertholf (WMSL 750), spot welds a bracket used to store aqueous film forming foam in a passageway May 7, 2019, prior to the ship resuming its Western Pacific patrol. The patrol, under the tactical control of the Navy’s 7th Fleet, directly supports U.S. foreign policy and national security objectives and supports longstanding partnerships in the region.
