Eduar Alexander Michaels Bravo, the deputy commander of Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force - Southern Command, and U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Jorge Luis Nieves-Lopez, a medic from the Puerto Rican National Guard, mentor Alferez de Fragata (Guatemalan Lieutenant) Imad Hurtado after a joint training exercise with U.S. Marines with SPMAGTF-SC and the Brigada Infantería de Marina (Guatemalan Marine Brigade) in Puerto Barrios, Guatemala, July 19, 2019. Joint training held between the Marines and sailors of the SPMAGTF-SC and its partner nations are shaping the capabilities and responsiveness with each other, which achieves interoperability among the militaries.
