Lcdr. Janelle Marra, Sports Medicine Physician at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, spoke to Sailors about her life, struggles and accomplishments as a bisexual officer in the Navy during a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) pride month celebration on the mess decks aboard amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8). The LGBT community is represented within the Navy by the Gay, Lesbian, And Supporting Sailors (GLASS) Program.
