Aviation Boatswains Mate (Handling) Airman Madison Reeves installs cotter pins on flight deck safety nets on the flight deck aboard amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD8). Flight deck safety nets are installed around the flight deck to help mitigate the risk of personnel falling overboard during flight operations.
