Recruits with Hotel Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, perform a leg sweep during a Marine Corps Martial Arts Program training session at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, June 17. One of the purposes of MCMAP is to teach recruits how to defeat the enemy using hand-to-hand combat. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited form the Western Recruiting Region are trained aboard MCRD San Diego. Hotel Company is scheduled to graduate August 30.
