U.S. Coast Guardsmen, sailors and members of Cape Verde’s boarding team return to the guided-missile frigate USS Simpson, after conducting boarding procedures on a fishing vessel. USS Simpson is supporting African Maritime Law Enforcement Partnership operations, a branch of the Africa Partnership Station, in an effort to build maritime safety and security on and off shore. During the deployment, Simpson will work with host nation law enforcement teams to deter illicit maritime activities. (U.S. Navy photo by Seaman Brian T. Glunt)
