Tulinabo S. Mushingi, U.S. Ambassador to Senegal, addresses reporters during a media day and tour of the cooperative security location in Dakar, Senegal Aug. 2, 2019. Mushingi answered various questions from news reporters along with U.S. Marine Col. Eric Cloutier, the commanding officer of Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force-Crisis Response-Africa 19.2, Marine Forces Europe and Africa. SPMAGTF-CR-AF activated the CSL to exercise forward-staging a crisis-response force, rehearse realistic training scenarios, and increase proficiency. SPMAGTF-CR-AF is deployed to conduct crisis-response and theater-security operations in Africa and promote regional stability by conducting military-to-military training exercises throughout Europe and Africa.
