    Pacific Pathways conducts civil health engagements in Bulavou, Fiji

    Fijian Army Private Makaele Uluilakeba, who serves with 3rd Battalion, Fiji Infantry Regiment, demonstrates how germs are spread by applying a lotion on one of the students hands, and exposing where the lotion had spread after a hand shake with ultraviolet light, during a civil health engagement at the Bulavou District School in Seaqaqa, Fiji, Aug. 1, 2019. The community health engagement included simple health practices to assist the community to live a generally more healthy lifestyle. The 351st, were at the school to conduct a civil health engagement to teach basic health principles to promote a generally more healthy lifestyle. The effort is part of Pacific Pathways Exercise Cartwheel 2019, which aims to build expeditionary readiness and interoperability with the Republic of Fiji Military Forces and its government's ministries to prepare for crisis efforts in the event of a natural disaster or emergency.
