U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. William Lucas, radar airfield weather systems technician with the 235th Air Traffic Controller Squadron, poses in front of a mobile air traffic control tower set in New London, N.C. that was recently used in a training mission in Ramstein Germany, Aug. 3rd, 2019. The North Carolina Air National Guard, along with New Hampshire and Maine Air National Guard, flew to Ramstein Air Base, Germany to work with active duty 1st Combat Communications Squadron. The Air National Guard units assisted in training the active duty unit with set-up, use, and tear-down of a mobile tower and deployable tactical air navigation system.
