1st Sgt. Rudy Alvarado surveys the land below, paying attention to where the drop zone begins August 06, 2019 at Hohenburg drop zone. 1st Squadron (Airborne), 91st Cavalry Regiment, 1st Battalion (Airborne), 503rd Infantry Regiment and 173rd HHC Head Hunters participated in an airborne refresher jump to ensure all paratroopers were current and proficient with their airborne tasks. During this refresher jump, a Bundeswehr jump master, cadets from West Point Military Academy and a few other paratroopers got the opportunity to earn foreign wings respectively. The 173rd Airborne Brigade is the U.S. Army’s Contingency Response Force in Europe, providing rapidly deployable forces to the United States Europe, Africa and Central Commands areas of responsibilities. Forward deployed across Italy and Germany, the brigade routinely trains alongside NATO allies and partners to build partnerships and strengthen the alliance.
