Philippine Army Capt. Heriberto Sangalang (right), 191st Military Police Battalion, familiarizes U.S. service members with the Philippine Army ethos during Balikatan 2012, April 19 at Clark Air Base, Philippines. Sangalang spoke to the soldiers about the dedication it takes to be a soldier and said "There is nothing like the heart of a volunteer, and we are all volunteers in our Armies." Exercise Balikatan is an annual training event aimed at improving combined planning, combat readiness, humanitarian assistance and interoperability between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and United States.
