The 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade's Command Sgt. Maj. Larry Farmer, of San Diego, Calif., poses with Staff Sgt. Smiley and two other Task Force Saber non-commissioned officers were inducted into the Sgt. Audie Murphy club, a private U.S. Army organization for non-commissioned officers whose leadership achievements and performance merit special recognition. Murphy was the most decorated American combat soldier of World War II.
