Lt. Col. Jeffrey Cheeks, Task Force Saber commander, 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, and native of Franklin, Ga., congratulates his three non-commissioned officers inducted into the Sgt. Audie Murphy club on Forward Operating Base Fenty, Afghanistan, April 26. The Sgt. Audie Murphy club is a private U.S. Army organization for non-commissioned officers whose leadership achievements and performance merit special recognition. Inductees must meet a strict set of requirements and demonstrate their expertise in front of a board of non-commissioned officers to be considered for membership. Murphy was the most decorated American combat soldier of World War II.
