Members of a Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) recovery team, sift through soil in an excavation unit while working alongside local workers on Guadalcanal, Solomon Islands, June 27, 2019. During the recovery mission, DPAA personnel and augmentees spent their days digging and screening in hopes of finding missing U.S. Marines lost during the first allied offensive in the Pacific Theater of World War II.
