U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Kevin Porter, a Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) recovery non-commissioned officer augmentee, screens soil alongside local workers during a recovery mission, Guadalcanal, Solomon Islands, June 19, 2019. During the recovery mission, DPAA personnel and augmentees spent their days digging and screening in hopes of finding missing U.S. Marines lost during the first allied offensive in the Pacific Theater of World War II.
