NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (Aug. 27, 2019) Sailors assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford's (CVN 78) air department pull a stirrup away from the aircraft crash and salvage crane, known as "Tilly," on the ship's flight deck. Ford is currently undergoing its post-shakedown availability at Huntington Ingalls Industries-Newport News Shipbuilding.
