NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (Aug. 27, 2019) Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handling) Airman Alani Toutai, from Long Beach, California, assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford's (CVN 78) air department, uses hand signals to indicate that the aircraft crash and salvage crane, known as "Tilly," is clear to move. Ford is currently undergoing its post-shakedown availability at Huntington Ingalls Industries-Newport News Shipbuilding.
