MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII, Hawaii (Aug. 29, 2019) – Religious Programs Specialist 1st Class Greg Bailey, who is selected for chief petty officer, participates in the Fleet Marine Force (FMF) challenge onboard Marine Corps Base Hawaii. The challenge is based on the physical fitness and tactical proficiency FMF Corpsmen must have to embed with Marine platoons. Sailors who are selected for promotion to chief petty officer go through six weeks of initiation training, to include leadership and physical training, to become better suited in their new roles as senior enlisted leaders.
